Licensing

Overview

LGI RPA is licensed individually for each machine that it's installed on. Please refer to your welcome letter for the terms of your license agreement.

You can access your license entitlements through the license portal (https://lgisolutions.eup.zentitle.io/sign-in) using the instructions provided in your welcome letter.

Uninstalling LGI RPA does not deactivate

If you want to decommission a machine, deactivate first to return the license for use before uninstalling the software.

If you forget to deactivate the license before uninstalling, discuss the situation with support before using your activation code on a different machine.

Online vs Offline

IMPORTANT You cannot convert an activation from offline to online or vice versa. The machine is either online or offline for its lifespan. If activated online it must be deactivated online, if activated offline it must be deactivated offline.

  • Online activation communicates with the license platform on startup and periodically during product operation, meaning the machine must have an internet connection. Online activations are hands free, meaning that once activated, there will be no subsequent actions as the software will communicate with the license server and receive any updates like subscription renewals. You can also easily move a license by deactivating and activating the license on a different machine. Online activation also allows your organization to track license deployment and utilization. Note that no personal identifying information is transmitted.

  • Offline activation does not communicate with the license server. Use this if the machine does not have access to the internet. IMPORTANT Offline activated licenses have a lease period of 90 days. One expired, the lease must be renewed for the software to function using the process described in Renewing the Offline Lease. You do not need to wait for the lease to expire, you can perform the offline lease refresh at any time. Because offline licenses have this 90 restriction you will see that offline license links will say contact support. We want you to be absolutely clear about the ramifications of using offline licensing!
