    Thank you very much for the information.   I believe you hit the problem as the script may have passed over the field I was aming at and then pressed a key not allowed for the next field and crashed the application.

    I will reveiw the script (slowly) and see if I can find the spot with the trouble.

    the product is eCare CMS.   The application is claim statusing.  The idea is to status a list of selected claims from a file, as opposed to the broader status dates that the application allows.
