Does that happen manually? It looks more like a "functional type problem " than some sort of technical incompatability? 
The black B is the MeditechFocus.exe's user interface, its showing what you'd see inside Boston WorkStation if you selected Connect -> Stream menu and used Meditech as the stream name. It also has some specific troubleshooting oriented UI's.
