BOSTON, Mass. – September 11, 2014 – Boston Software Systems, the leader in error-free automation and migration platform technology for every healthcare application, has appointed Matthew A. Hawkins as Executive Vice President Healthcare Strategy and Sales. Hawkins will be responsible for both partner and direct healthcare sales, developing the overarching strategy and direction for the organization. Previously, he served the organization as Vice President of Providers and Health Plans.
“Matt’s focus on helping providers solve the challenges of EHR optimization and data migration has been highly successful. In this new position he will be able to develop that strategy across all our business groups,” said Sara McNeil, President. “This strategic focus, his understanding of the industry and his experience with healthcare automation provide a standard of leadership and excellence for Boston Software Systems and our clients. I have tremendous confidence in his ability to position the company to meet future growth.”
“I couldn’t be more excited to take on this new position at Boston Software Systems,” said Hawkins. “We’ve had great success over the last decade providing our workflow automation technology to hospitals and partners. In the last four years, we have seen incredible growth with our automated migration platform and active data quality service. As a leader in the EHR migration and optimization space we remove the risk, burden and cost of manually migrating data from legacy systems to a new EHR while supporting customers through optimization of their new EHR. The last step in that process is retiring legacy systems and helping our clients realize their strategic vision of one system to support optimal patient care and financial efficiency.”
Matt has broad experience working with many leading healthcare organizations such as Johns Hopkins, HCA, Community Healthcare Systems, Partners Healthcare as well as Fortune 500 companies such as eBay, Expedia, Mattel, and Raytheon from his time in industry-leading companies including Sybase, AccuRev and Omtool. He brings his knowledge of hospital systems and workflow to customer engagements, focusing his problem solving skills on their unique challenges and requirements.
